At B+, our mission is to support and amplify blood donation efforts in underserved communities around the world. We believe everyone deserves access to safe, reliable blood, which we pursue by building trust through local partnerships, education, and shared stories.
Why Blood Matters
About 118.54 million blood donations are collected worldwide. 40% of these are collected in high-income countries, home to 16% of the world's population (WHO, 2022). In many regions, access to safe blood remains a challenge, particularly in urgent situations involving mothers, children, or trauma patients. That's why B+ exists: To bridge the gap by supporting local donation efforts, reducing stigma, and helping every drop reach the people who need it most.
Global Vision, Local Focus
B+ is laying the foundation for a global network that supports and strengthens local blood services. We begin by listening, honoring the leadership, and infrastructure in place. As we grow, our goal is to collaborate with organizers, clinics, and health workers to help build lasting trust, reduce barriers to donation, and support sustainable community-led change. Our work is rooted in respect, shared purpose, and long-term partnership.
